I have shot several new bows so far this year so I figured I would share my thoughts incase any of you are in the market for a new bow!
BOWTECHS Admiral - Great shooting bow, very silent, dead quiet, no hand shock, Nice draw with a solid wall. light weight for a center pivot Bowtech, decent speed - Overall A Captain - Heavy, decent draw, nice back wall, quick, zero shock or sound, very bulky - Overall C SWAT - Great bow, upgraded Allegiance, smoothest draw I've ever pulled, ok speed, no shock or sound - Overal - A-
DIAMOND Iceman - Nice draw, lacks speed, a little shock, zero sound, a bit heavy - Overall B
MATHEWS Reezen - Very harsh draw, no valley, held well, GREAT speed, lots of hand shock, not much noise - Overal C
HOYT AlphaMax 32 - Amazing bow, very light, nice draw and back wall, holds great, very minimal hand shock, no sound, good speed - Overall A
ELITE GTO - Smooth draw, very fast, no shock or sound, light, holds very well - Overall A
So, I have a GTO so you know which I prefer...but if I had to get a new bow this is what the order would be
1. Elite Z28 or GT500 (Upgraded GTO!) 2. Hoyt Alpha Max 32/Bowtech Admiral 3. Bowtech SWAT 4. Diamond Iceman 5. Mathews Reezen 6. Bowtech Captain

I have been shoping for bows also. I'm torn between the Hoyt Alpha Max 32 and the Bowtech Admeral. Hoyt does have a slight advantage in speed and delivered energy and nice ergos but still using the standard cable guard. I realy like the Bowtech, but wish it had a little more delivered energy, plus I love the roller guard. I wish there was a shop where a guy could line'em up and let the arrows fly to get a real sense of preferance between the two. For me, it's hard to remember how one shoots compared to the other. Does such a place exist?

Does such a place exist? Not many places around that sell both Hoyt and Bowtech. Their is a place in Brown County called Blackhawk Outfitters that sells these two. Although I do not recommend purchasing a bow from the guy. I do not like the owner but it is a place with an indoor range where you could fling a few arrows out of both bows together. Hope this helps.

John at Hunter's Hideaway here in St. Anthony used to sell both and still might, but it's been a while since I've been in his shop so I'm not sure if he still sells Hoyt. I do know he still sells Bowtech. His number is 326-2332.

Yeah like Chitwood said, Blackhawk sales both but not sure I would make a purchase.
Both of those bows are are great shooting bows and it would be very hard to pick between the 2. Now I know I keep pushing these but you really need to try an Elite out. The Z28 model is the best bow I have ever shot. I mean 32 ATA 8" Brace 336 fps...and it is silky smooth and NO SHOCK! If you prefer a little longer bow, the GT500 is around 34" and similar specs but I think a 7-7.5" BH and 346fps.
Gods Country Archery in Orleans is the closest dealer, I need to go down their soon so if anyone wants to go let me know, you won't be disapointed

Wanted to add another bow that I enjoyed shooting, the PSE Bowmadness and Bowmadness XL, both are awesome shooting bows. I actually liked the XL a little better, very smooth and fast. Might want to take a look

Are these upgraded X-Force units? What is the difference?

Are these upgraded X-Force units? What is the difference? Actually the Bowmadness bows are single cam PSE models. They are smoother and hold better with a better back wall than the X-Forces. You will lose a little speed, but 336 is great for a single cam. Hunter's Hideaway should be getting some in soon
